Naples Tour: Ideal Guide for Tourists & Travel Agents

Naples, Italy. That beautiful, bustling ancient city by the sea. It’s one of the oldest continuously lived-in urban areas in the world as well as one of the most densely populated cities in Europe.

Wondering what to visit in Naples, Italy?
Keep reading what we, as travel agents suggest for you:

1-National Archaeological Museum

Naples’ National Archaeological Museum serves up one of the world’s finest collections of Graeco-Roman artefacts. With its rich and unique archaeological collections, this is one of the most ancient and important museums in the world.

2-Naples Cathedral

It’s a Roman Catholic cathedral, the main church of Naples, southern Italy, and the seat of the Archbishop of Naples. It is widely known as the Cattedrale di San Gennaro, in honour of Saint Januarius, the city’s patron saint. Named after the city’s patron saint, Saint Januarius (San Gennaro), Naples Cathedral has been the spiritual center of Naples since the Greeks owned this town.

3-Neapolitan pizza

Neapolitan pizza (Italian: pizza napoletana) also known as Naples-style pizza, is a style of pizza made with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. UNESCO has added the art of Neapolitan pizza-making to its list of intangible cultural heritage.
Also some other suggestions such as classic Neapolitan pasta dishes which include seafood — spaghetti alle vongole and risotto alla pescatora are typical. Other famous local pasta recipes include pasta e patate (pasta and potato soup), timballo (pasta pie), gnocchi alla sorrentina (potato dumplings baked in tomato sauce and mozzarella) and pasta e fagioli

4-Do some shopping at San Gregorio Armeno

Via San Gregorio Armeno is a charming little lane hidden between two of Naples’ most important city centre streets: Spaccanapoli and Via dei Tribunali. No matter what time of year you happen to visit, you’ll find yourself surrounded by quaint old shops with handcrafted statuettes and extravagant “presipio” spilling out into the narrow streets. It’s a great place to visit if you want to shop for an unusual souvenir, and while you’ll find it filled with tourists perusing Nativity figurines throughout the year, at Christmas it descends into pure madness!

5- Galleria Umberto I

This public shopping gallery is one of the more modern examples of fine architecture in Naples, at only around 130 years old. Its main structure is shaped like a cross and features domed glass ceilings and tiled floor art that have returned the building to its former glory after decades of abandon and decay. The gallery is a beautiful combination of cafés, restaurants, shops, and social life, and is brimming with energy; combined with the breathtaking design & architecture, this isn’t something you should miss.
